VIDEO: Profile of Jordan Griffin
Middletown slot back Jordan Griffin is this week's WDEL Male High School Athlete of the Week.

Jordan scored all 4 touchdowns in the Cavs' 28-14 victory over cross-town rival Appoquinimink last Friday night.

Griffin was quick to share the credit for his success.

"I have to give it to the (offensive) line. They opened up all the holes, and the coaches called the right plays. We just took advantage."
Jordan gets to play with younger brother Isaiah, who is waiting his turn on a stacked Cavalier sideline.

"Anytime I do anything on the field, I love going to the sideline and talking to him, hoping to get him on the field, too. I know if we do really good he'll get on the field also."

For an early football memory, Jordan remembers youth football, and how his dad was excited at his success.

"Playing with the Peewees, just running the ball and watching my dad running on the sidelines right there with me."

As for college, Jordan says that some CAA schools including Old Dominion are looking at him, and a program at Middletown could shape his future off the field.

"I'm here for banking, and I do a lot of accounting, so I want to be an accountant."
