St. Elizabeth basketball player Macy Robinson is this week's WDEL Female High School Athlete of the Week.
Macy scored 20 points in St. E's 42-34 victory over defending champion Sanford.
Robinson said the Vikings enjoyed the early season test.
"We were excited going into the game. We know that if we played as hard as we could and went at it we would walk out with a victory if we made every basket count."
Macy has certainly been making every basket count, what has led to her rise in scoring?
"This year I'm more aggressive. I am taking the ball in and my teammates are seeing me this year and we're all working together."
When asked about a sports role model, Macy says she just looks around at her friends in the Maroon and Gold.
"Definitely my coaches, I really look up to them. And each of my teammates, we all work together, it's all 12 of us, it's no one in particular, we're all one team together."
Next up for the Macy and the Vikings is a game in their Diamond State Classic group against Walt Whitman High School of Maryland. Macy says the team is hopeful they can keep their winning streak going.
"If we work as hard as we can, hopefully we can win our bracket and end up 5-0 and start up for Ursuline."
