Wilmington Charter volleyball and basketball player Kelly Perillo is this week's WDEL Female High School Athlete of the Week.
Kelly helped lead the Force to the state quarterfinals last season, I asked her what parts of her game have improved as her team tries to get back to "The Bob."
"My dribbling and outside shot have become more effective than in past years."
Being a 2-sport star and Delaware's Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year, Kelly received a lot of attention, and her brother Justin, a tight end at Maine, gave her recruitment process advice.
"It's a stressful process, but getting through it has the best feeling when you're committed and know where you're going."
Kelly says she's settled on LaSalle to play volleyball and study business, I asked her what made the Explorers the right choice.
"I went to visit, and the team is what did it for me. I loved the bonding that we had as a team and how we came together while I was there."
Finally, I asked Kelly who has given her the best piece of advice she's ever received.
"From my dad: He tells me to play to my best ability, and you'll rise to the occasion when it happens."
