VIDEO: Interview with Micah Morgan
Caravel Academy guard Micah Morgan is this week's M&T Bank / WDEL High School Athlete of the Week.

The junior scored 26 points with 9 rebounds in a victory over Polytech Monday.

Morgan says her 4 assists in the contest are a result of the teamwork the Bucs exude on the court.

"That's why I love this team because it's not just about yourself, it's about helping others. If you see someone else open make the extra pass, that's our philosophy on the team."

That philosophy she mentions is consistent with her favorite player, this year's WNBA's MVP.

"Maya Moore, I really love her as a player. She could pick herself up by picking her teammates up as well. It's not always about making the shot, it's always about making the extra pass."

Following Christmas, Micah and Caravel gets their annual test in the Diamond State Classic where they are paired with Franklin High School out of New Jersey.

"There's nothing like being in that atmosphere. I love going there (St. Elizabeth) every year and playing against very competitive teams."

Micah says she wants to focus on a major in the medical field when she reaches college in two years.

"In middle school I always watched E.R. shows, I don't know if I want to be an E.R. doctor but I want to get in the medical field and help people out. I'm a compassionate person."
