There will be NO New Oil Drilling!
Obama used the media to fool Americans into believing Republicans had “no ideas” for Health Care Reform and so instead of reforming the system, he moved the existing failed system towards government control. Now the MSM believes he's opening the eastern coasts to drilling. If he keeps his campaign promise to tie drilling to “cap and trade,” raising taxes by at least $1,700 a year on Americans, Republicans will vote to protect American paychecks and drilling will fail. Let's take a look at the record: the moratorium on these oil leases ended in September, 2008 and Obama postponed this as long as he could. He made a big deal about committing $8.3 Billion for two nuclear power plants in Georgia and then, “Surprise!” it turns out they can't be built due to Obama's Nuclear Regulatory Commission failing to issue Key Rules for the projects. (Wall Street Journal, March 10, 2010)
Another lie: Obamacare will save Americans money and protect children. 350,000 children and adults in Arizona suddenly now have no health care “Because of the health care bill” (NY Times) and the secret back-room pharmaceutical deals are demonstrative of Obama's “transparent” government in which ALL of the negotiations would be “televised on CSPAN.”
To believe there will be new oil well drilling in the Atlantic is to believe Barack Obama.
That's a LOT of Hopey-Changey from a man who gets busted for lying (phony jobs numbers, “no million-dollar ‘bridge-to-nowhere stimulus projects, no death panels, etc., etc., etc.) after almost every press conference.
