Ted Cruz's dad even more incendiary than the son

Rafael Cruz, father of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) addressed some of the G.O.P. faithful in Colorado last week, and some of the details have started to emerge.

From The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, in turn, linking to a Colorado political blog...

Palin was demonized for talking about "death panels" in the ACA... which DO exist but of course aren't actually called out by that name...it's something much more Orwellian-sounding.

The elderly Babyboomers better wake up as they are seen as burdens on the rest of the country's economy and add to the costs of ACA and costs to Social Security. When SS was first instituted, the life expectancy was much lower than our current American life expectancy... I think the average age of death was around 63.

Also, I don't know what the president's relationship is with God the Father/Son/Holy Ghost but do know that he (and his administration) continue to side with and arm the Muslim Brotherhood (rather than aiding the Christian Coptics or Egyptian military in Egypt), and are supporting/arming Al-Qaeda in Syria.

Who says Ted Cruz is incendiary? He happens to be a very fine gentleman, thank you!

Rafael Cruz isn't saying anything that I haven't been saying right here on this blog for the last two years. The ultimate agenda of the Obama health care scam is to exterminate the elderly once they're no longer "useful".

I'll bet ya Ted Cruz knows when Elvis's birthday is!

Here's an interesting take on Ted Cruz from someone here:

"Cruz was right. The strategy may disembowel the Democrats. How can they not pass a bill that puts people back to work? The Senate will collectively or individually pass the individual bills, leaving the funding for Obamacare, dead in the House. If the Senate doesn’t pass the unrelated bills, they become the objects of terror.

Cruz will become the next House Speaker. He was able to achieve what Boehner was not. There is now nothing that Boehner can do. It is finished…."

Except Cruz can't become House Speaker for the simple reason that he's a senator... not a U.S. representative...

Cruz's old man comes from the fascist Cuban elite that supported Batista, got in bed with the Mafia and U.S. sugar and tobacco interests, and since took over South Florida. Marco Rubio is another example.
The Cruz's are the Havana branch of the Ewing family. Funny all these right-wing Machiavellian types are somehow connected to the oil business.
His qualifications for president are in doubt. He was born in Alberta and his father was not (yet) a U.S. citizen, although his mother was (born in Wilmington).
Churchill talked about the "great English-speaking peoples." The U.S. may not qualify for that club much longer. The Spanish are evil. The inquisition. The armada. Brutal dictatorships. Latin America remains in the middle ages. And now they are exporting it all to the US.

Allan, Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5 of the US Constitution reads: "The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment."

They can choose anyone, not necessarily an elected member of the House. Never have done so, but they could.

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 11:41am
Allan, good catch. As one commenter on the original piece made, was that it is not required that the Speaker of the House be a member of the House of Representatives... That little know fact gets coverage every two years the House Speaker's position is up for grabs... The Speaker is whomever the House chooses to vote for...

But Cruz has out-maneuvered Boehner's control of the party. Since that post, I have outlined how Boehner needs to take it back, if anyone is interested.

I would make this analogy: That would be like the Roman Catholic Church's College of Cardinals reaching OUTSIDE the cardinals - and even outside the ranks of the bishops - to a simple priest, for the next Pope. After all, technically ANY Catholic male is eligible for the Papacy; would just be ordained and elevated in one fell swoop.

Okay, okay... It's slightly more imaginable that Tea Partiers in the House would reach out to Cruz to be Speaker. But practically speaking, he'd give up his Senate seat? Or serve in BOTH roles? Hey, wait a minute: He'd need to be on the Presidential campaign trail before long, so he'd barely have time for EITHER role.

BillS. That is very Balkan how you used the Armada to bash America's Hispanics..... I guess we should declare a fatwa against something interpreted as malicious said 1200 years ago...

The Spanish Armada sailed in the 1500's... so not exactly 1,200 years ago!

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 12:02pm
John Boehner has been a lousy House Speaker and now a leaked email reveals Boehner worked behind-the-scenes with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to keep Congress’s Obamacare exemptions.

Boehner needs to be replaced!

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 12:59pm
Sorry, my bad. I didn't know anyone would make that connection. I was referring by that date to the word Balkan, in which we lampooned those fighting each other over insults that took place 1200 years earlier. "Yo mama has a mustache!"

You caused me to think of what could possibly constitute a Spanish Armada 1200 years ago, and the closest thing I came with was Hannibal's crossing from Africa... Can anyone with a better knowledge of ancient naval history offer up other contenders?

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 1:02pm
Earl. That was no secret. Boehner is a moderate who is very attuned to the economic benefits Obamacare will create for America. Why do you think that bill was written by the insurance companies? That is why, instead of being replaced by Ted Cruz, he should claim the Republican mantle and run for President in 2016.

NBC has chosen to side with Obama. This clip has been in their hands for days, and was released today...

It shows one of the idiots responsible for the shutdown, lambasting a park ranger for closing the park to veterans. He tried to make her apologize. She didn't succumb to his pressure, but onlookers all jumped down his throat...

No, Mr. Congressman from a TEA PARTY district. YOU, YOU, not Harry Reid, ARE THE REASON THIS PARK IS SHUT DOWN...

The video shows that what we really do see on our TVs is not the reality. From this clip it is obvious that most American people absolutely HATE, with a vitriolic passion, all Tea Party congressmen. (In India, they would be treated as untouchables....) In fact, never in America, at least during my lifetime - now since the Vietnam War, have Conservatives been so reviled by such gigantic majorities of the American people.

One wonders... why NBC and other agencies did not show such footage from other meets, showing how reviled the Tea Party really is.

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 2:03pm
Just heard... The "do not call" registry is shut down... Open season on junk calls.... Anyone can call now, even if formerly banned.

Thanks Tea Party people....

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 2:05pm
And it begins to crack... Good-bye Tea Party.... See Ya....

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 2:11pm
Even Tea Party congressmen now are running for cover... See How They Run....

This is from one member who called for making the stand against Obamacare just last Friday.....

This is like that part in a children's show where the bad guys get run out-of-town... even as an adult, you get all happy to see good win out over pure evil... lol.

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 2:18pm
We now see a not-so-subtle message to all Americans now stuck with ACA how "Dear Leader" feels about you...

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 2:45pm
No one but you, Earl, can take that seriously... Using the same formula, your name Earl Grey really means...."darki pew" .. you segregationist church-goer you....

Just shows you how desperate Republicans are becoming, now that they can finally see they have lost every election for the next generation... ha ha ha...

" After all, technically ANY Catholic male is eligible for the Papacy; would just be ordained and elevated in one fell swoop."

I'm getting bumper stickers printed: LOUDELL FOR POPE.
Look forward to sardines on Fridays.

I used to love those Erroll Flynn movies with the Spanish as stand-ins for the Nazis, sending spies against Queen Elizabeth, capturing Errol and his crew and making them galley slaves, building their armada in secret while trying to trick the Queen into dismantling her navy...
And the armada was 425 years ago, 1588.
A real journalist would have given the date, not just the century. (July 21-28).
The pope declared the sneak attack on Britain a crusade and Spanish troops were given indulgences. Many need them. Since a storm (not the British) destroyed most of the Spanish ships and killed most of their seamen. So much for the pope's influence on the weather.

kavips...sorry but I'd place money on that being intentional. Somebody was probably LOL when they made up the number ;)

Thu, Oct 3, 2013 8:55pm
If the GOP loses the House in 2014 due to the shutdown, then it won't be on my conscience when the Democrats finally drag the country to hell in a handbasket.

Fri, Oct 4, 2013 12:05am
Wow, that means it was exactly 200 years between the Armada and the beginning of our Constitution.

Fri, Oct 4, 2013 8:20am
kavips: Only if you average. Adopted 1787 (199 years). Went into effect 1789 (201 years).

200 years later:
1987: Iran Contra. Ronnie's biggest lie since he did commercials for Chesterfield cigarettes.
Premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation
1989: Daddy Bush makes first state visit to Japan. Does not barf on prime minister this time.
Berlin Wall comes down. Ronnie takes credit (like the rooster who thinks his crowing causes the sun to rise).

Fri, Oct 4, 2013 2:50pm
BillS. I too was surprised by that date. The source chose to use the 9th state's ratification as the set point, which was New Hampshire on June 21, 1788. I've included the link because I learned something (twice in one day). The vote totals were not all overwhelming in favor of joining; some states were squeakers...
