The Possum Point Players was formed to contribute to the cultural diversity and vitality of Sussex County, by providing live theater for education and visitors alike.
Executive Administrator Mary Cahill says, the group, an all volunteer organization, provides a little something for everyone.
“We do have musicals, comedies, dramas. We do have children's productions. We do have old time radio shows, and more in-depth, on the edge theater, and we do have a group that does Shakespeare works.”
All of the productions take place at Possum Hall in Georgetown, and attract people from all over the area.
Cahill says they also provide an excellent opportunity for people considering getting involved in theater.
“It's a great place to get involved, and really, whether you like performing on stage, in front of the stage, or behind the scenes, there's lots to do. We welcome everybody...you can have experience or no experience. We'll take everybody and train you and teach you how.
