DelDOT asks candidates to take down campaign signs
DelDOT is asking candidates for political office to consider removing their campaign signs from along Delaware's highways in preparation for Hurricane Sandy.
"We don't want the signs to become airborne and become a hazard to people and the motorists of Delaware," says spokesman Jim Westhoff
Westhoff tells WDEL News crews are hard at work removing anything from along the roads that could be blown around by strong winds, and he urges people to stay off the roads if the storm does hit, so DelDOT can do its job keeping the roads clear.
