Sen. Marshall: Ban assault weapons, hold gun buybacks
State Senator Bobby Marshall says the state should ban the sale of military-style assault weapons.
The Wilmington Democrat says the ban should extend to high-capacity magazines and the state should conduct another gun buyback program as well as giving counties and cities the option of imposing gun licensing laws.
Marshall says when lawmakers return to Dover next week he'll be reintroducing legislation incorporating that multi-pronged approach to cracking down on gun-related violent crime in Delaware.
