Murderer dies in prison
A convicted murderer - serving a life sentence - has died.
The state Department of Correction reports 48-year-old James Crowe died Tuesday at the Vaughn Prison in Smyrna following an undisclosed illness. Foul play is not suspected.
Crowe was convicted of killing 76-year-old John Kilbride of New Castle with a sledge hammer during a robbery in 1995.
