Abortion clinic jury reviews ex-worker's testimony
Jurors weighing murder charges against a Philadelphia abortion provider have been reviewing testimony from a key clinic employee.
Dr. Kermit Gosnell is facing five counts of murder in the deaths of a patient and four babies allegedly born alive at his street-corner clinic in West Philadelphia.
The jury has asked to rehear the lengthy trial testimony of medical assistant Lynda Williams.
Williams pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree murder in the deaths of the patient and one baby.
She testified that she "snipped" the baby with scissors, and helped sedate the 41-year-old patient who died of an overdose.
The jury is in its sixth day of deliberations.
Gosnell's defense lawyer argues that no babies were born alive during the abortions.
