Man charged with murder, arson in Wilmington fire

A Wilmington man has been charged with murder and arson following a fatal fire in Wilmington over the weekend.

Johnny Williams was also charged with three counts of reckless endangering.

Firefighters arrived at the apartment building in the 1100 block of West 5th Street early Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters found Williams as he was leaving the building. He was injured and is being held in custody under guard at Wilmington Hospital. The second victim, Jose DeJesus, was found dead on the third floor.
