9-year sentence for man convicted on child porn charges

The Attorney General's office says a 55-year-old Brandywine Hundred man who plead guilty on charges of dealing in child pornography has received a nine-year jail term.

Matthew Fort received that sentence Friday in New Castle County Superior Court.

Fort was arrested in January after an undercover operation by the Child Predator Task Force. He pled guilty in July and has been held since on $750,000 cash bail.

Prosecutors with the Department of Justice say Fort used a webcam to meet teens in online chat rooms and asked for unlawful images of a sexual nature from juveniles.
