VIDEO: Padua finishes regular season undefeated

Ursuline faced a tough competitor on its Senior Night. Although the Raiders gave an undefeated Padua squad a good effort, the Pandas cruised to a three-set victory.

Padua opened the first set on an 8-0 run. Allyson Jennings, who finished with 11 kills, helped the Pandas win the first set 25-14 with her nice touches and placement.

The second set began differently. It was Ursuline that jumped out to a 3-0 advantage. The Raiders held on to the lead, until Jennifer Borio earned one of her 14 kills on the night to lift the Panda's 14-13. Ursuline brought the game within two late, but Padua closed out the second set 25-21.

In the third, the Panda's and Raiders went back-and-forth. When Padua's Sarah Cushing passed to Vanessa Crumety for the kill, the Panda's took a 7-5 edge and never looked back.

On match point, Ashley Muschiatti went up to block the Ursuline offense and give her Panda's the 25-16 third set win.

Cushing led the Pandas with 25 assists.

Caroline Francois led Ursuline with 13 assists. She also added seven kills. Kailyn Kampert led the Raiders with eight kills.

Padua won all 15 games this regular season, and Ursuline still has a St.Mark's challenge left on Monday.
