Campaign to change Redskins' name comes to Philly
The campaign to change the name of the Washington Redskins comes to Philadelphia this weekend in the form of a radio ad.
"It is time for the Washington NFL team to change its name. No group deserves to be treated as a target of racial epithets," the ad says.
The Oneida Indian Nation is running the ad on a Philadelphia station ahead of the Eagles' home game against Washington on Sunday.
In the ad, Ray Halbritter of the Oneida Indian Nation thanks sports figures who support the name change.
The Redskins' owner, Dan Snyder, has said he won't change the name, in keeping with tradition.
