Officer injured in car crash
A Wilmington man is in trouble after police say he crashed into a cop car - injuring an officer.
It happened around 11 o'clock Thursday night at West 2nd and North Clayton Streets.
Police say Ian Thomas went through an intersection on a green light but failed to yield to an oncoming police car which had it's emergency lights on - hitting it.
To make matters worse, police say Thomas then tried to get rid of 19 bags of heroin and two needles. They also found some crack.
He's now facing drug charges.
