Wilm. man IDed in fatal MD shooting
Maryland State Police are identifying a Wilmington man fatally shot during a traffic stop.
Police say he is 25-year-old James Norris. Norris was fatally shot Monday in Salisbury after troopers pulled him over.
When a trooper spoke to Norris, he put both hands in his jacket pockets. When the trooper told Norris not to, police say Norris said one of them would die, prompting the trooper to pull his gun.
More than one shot was heard and Norris died at a hospital. Police say he was clutching two guns in his pockets, but it isn't clear yet whether he shot himself or was shot by the trooper.
