One critically hurt in New Castle fire

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is investigating a fire Thursday night in New Castle that critically injured one person.

The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. in the unit block of Blairville Road at the Blairville Court Townhouses off South DuPont Highway.

The Wilmington Manor Fire Company arrived on-scene with flames shooting out of the first floor windows of the townhouse.

One person, suffering from serious burns, was taken to the Crozer Hospital.

Investigators are searching for the fire's origin and cause.
