Teen hit and killed crossing Route 40

Police are still trying to identify a teenager who was hit and killed as he crossed the road Monday afternoon.
State police say the 15-year-old boy was crossing Route 40 westbound at Rickey
Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. when he was hit by a car. Police identify the driver as
50-year-old Karen Davis of Newark.
County paramedics treated the teen for serious head and chest injuries as he was
taken to Christiana Hospital, where he died. Anyone who may have information is asked to
call police.
