Delaware attempted just 42 shots from the field, 27 fewer than ODU, but the Blue Hens connected on 41 of 50 free throw attempts, breaking the mark of 40 set in 1993 against UMBC.
Junior Devon Saddler led all scorers with 27 points, moving into a tie for 12th place on the all-time Delaware career scoring list.
Sophomore Jarvis Threatt scored a season-high 19 points without making a field goal, hitting 19 of 20 free throws, while Jamelle Hagins had 11 points and 16 rebounds, bringing him to within 13 rebounds of Spencer Dunkley's school record.
The Delaware win snapped a 4 game losing streak to Old Dominion and a 6 game losing streak at ODU's Constant Center.
Delaware raised its record to 6-8 and 1-0 in league play...they will host Hofstra at 7pm on Wednesday night.
