A Week 1 appearance Monday Night Football and a Week 3 visit by Andy Reid's new team highlight the Eagles' 2013 NFL Schedule released Thursday night.

Philadelphia will meet division rival Washington at FedEx Field to open up ESPN's nationally televised doubleheader to complete the opening week's schedule of games.

If you believe in history, San Diego could be the big winner in Philadelphia's schedule, as they are the visiting team for the Eagles' home opener on September 15. The last three Super Bowl winners, 2010 Green Bay, the 2011 Giants, and last year's Ravens all were the opposition for Philadelphia for the first game at Lincoln Financial Field.

There will be just four days for hype before Andy Reid returns to face off with his former team when he brings in Kansas City for a Thursday Night game that will be televised by NFL Network.

Philadelphia then embarks on their first three-game road trip since 2006 with battles against the Broncos, Giants, and Buccaneers. The Denver game is currently slated to be the last national window for the Eagles this year, in FOX's national game on September 29.

Dallas will end the schedule for the 4th time in 6 years when Philadelphia travels to Arlington on December 29. The Eagles also have an extended homestand with 3 games plus a bye week between November 17 and December 8 featuring Washington, Arizona, and Detroit.

The last six games are all subject to flexing by the NFL, so it is still possible that the Eagles end up on NBC's Sunday Night Football, but they are not currently on the schedule. Their game against Washington will be their only game on ESPN and the Kansas City battle will be the only one on NFL Network.

The Eagles also announced that their two home exhibition games will be the first two weeks, when they host New England on Friday, August 9, and Carolina on Thursday, August 15.
