Teen charged in Halloween stabbing
By Associated Press

County police have arrested a 15-year-old for allegedly stabbing another teen on Halloween night.

Police say Kevin Nunez of New Castle stabbed a 16-year-old twice in the stomach at an apartment complex about 11 p.m. Saturday. But police weren't able to interview the victim until Monday because of his treatment and emergency surgery.

Police say Nunez, a gang member, was visiting friends at the Hampton Walk apartments when seven men from a rival gang approached him. Police say Nunez stabbed the other boy twice with a knife.

Nunez was arrested late Monday at his house in the 100 block of Halcyon Drive. He's charged with assault and weapons offenses.
