Three Appo schools get new principals

Three schools in the Appoquinimink School District will have new leaders next fall.

Dr. Matthew Donovan is taking over as principal of Middletown High School.

Donovan was formerly the assistant principal at Caesar Rodney High School.

Dr. Thomas Vari, the assistant principal of Everett Middle School, is replacing the retiring Carlton Parker as principal in that building.

And Dr. Rebecca Feathers will be the new principal of Brick Hill Elementary after serving as assistant principal at Cedar Lane Elementary since 2007.

All three candidates were approved by the Appoquinimink Board of Education today and will assume their new roles on July 1st.
