Jewelry thief caught with drugs
By Michelle Provencher

The Wilmington burglar who made off with a woman's jewelry box may have thought he got away with it, until New Castle County police tracked him, the jewels and 17 bags of heroin down.

28-year-old Timothy Miller snuck into the home on Graves Lane through an unlocked back window, stole the 63-year-old woman's jewelry box and took off.

After the victim called police, Miller was caught at his house on the 100 block of Murphy Road with nearly six grams of heroin and cash believed to be from pawned stolen items.

Miller failed to post $4,500 bail and was committed to Howard Young Correctional Facility for second degree burglary, felony theft and possession.
