Republican Mobley files for Insurance Commissioner
|
| Benjamin Mobley (seated left of GOP Chairman Joihn Sigler) | Republican Benjamin Mobley made it official Friday, putting the finishing touches on his filing as a candidate for state Insurance Commissioner.
Mobley completed the filing process at the state Board of Elections, accompanied by state GOP Chairman John Sigler.
Mobley says allowing Delawareans to buy health insurance from companies in other states will be a priority for him if he's elected.
He says his goal is to reduce insurance costs by following free market principles, rather than the provisions of President Obama's healthcare law.
Mobley will square off against the winner of September's Democratic primary, in which incumbent Karen Weldin Stewart is up against 3 other candidates.
