Suspect sought in Claymont bank robbery
By Mark Fowser

State Police are investigating a bank robbery at the WSFS branch inside the Claymont Super Fresh on Philadelphia Pike.

At about 2:44 Saturday afternoon, a man gave the tellers a note demanding money.

The tellers complied and surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber got away on foot.

He is described as a white male, between 50 and 60 years old, about five-six to five-seven. At the time he wore a black baseball cap, a gray T-shirt with an American flag, blue jeans, and red-and-white sneakers.

Anyone who has information on the robbery or the suspect is asked to call State Police or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.

No one was injured in the weekend robbery.
