Maid charged with stealing from ex-employer's Hockessin house

A woman who works as a maid is charged with stealing items from her former employer's home in Hockessin, and County Police are asking other potential victims to come forward.

Police say the victim hired Jacqueline Cuomo to clean his home in Hockessin's Wellington Hills community in January, and called police when he noticed some things missing.

Investigators learned Cuomo had stolen money, jewelry and prescription drugs, and had pawned some of the stuff between April and June.

Cuomo is out on bail on a felony theft charge, and is under orders to keep away from the victim.

Police are asking anyone who may have hired her and been victimized to call County detectives or Crimestoppers.
