County Police to host National Night Out in Glasgow Park
New Castle County Police are asking you to turn on your home's front and back lights Tuesday, and every day, in an effort to deter crime.
It's all a part of National Night Out, which Officer James Gladney says is about outreach and building a better relationship between the community and the police.
"See what we have to offer for prevention; come meet us, talk to us. See that we're not bad, we're good people. We're here to help; we're here to assist and maybe build a rapport with their neighborhood cause maybe we don't know who they are so we might start a new relationship with another community," says Gladney.

National Night Out will be held at Glasgow Park on Route 40 Tuesday from 5-8pm. WDEL will be there.
