Cash mob...the anti-flash mob and headed to Wilmington
While a flash mob might strike fear into the heart of business owners, a cash mob has just the opposite effect.
One is happening Friday evening in downtown Wilmington.
Lani Schweiger with Downtown Visions says the idea is to have people gather at a meeting place and then spend money, in this case a minimum of 15 dollars, in a locally-owned business.

The Friday cash mob congregates at the Delaware College of Art and Design on Market Street at 6 p.m.
Schweiger says in addition to the mob itself, participants can head to an after party at the Chelsea Tavern, which has its own bargains happening for patrons.
