Two probationers arrested for gun, drug possession

Police say two Wilmington men who were on probation have been arrested by for possessing firearms and drugs.

Wilmington police say officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Mccabe Avenue around 12:26 p.m. Sunday afternoon for a 911 call about a domestic dispute involving a firearm where they took 22-year-old Jamil Bridges 20-year-old Stephon Smith into custody and discovered a .357 magnum revolver.

Further investigation revealed another .357 magnum, a .380 caliber handgun, 54 bags of heroin, one gram of marijuana, digital scales and marijuana grinders.

Both men are probationers and face charges of possession of marijuana, heroin, drug paraphernalia and a firearm by a person prohibited.

Bail information is not available at this time.
