Girl Scouts CEO in Delaware

The CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA is in Delaware, urging businesses and community leaders to help create opportunities that will help girls succeed.

Anna Maria Chavez says a recent study they commissioned revealed that many girls still perceive a glass ceiling.

"...and while three in five girls think that women can rise in a company or organization, they believe that they will only rarely get the opportunity to be promoted to the top post."

Chavez says she's also pointing out the importance of diversity in the workforce, including in critical decision positions.

She says the U.S. can't thrive if it ignores the ideas of half the population.
