DELDOT gearing up for possible hit by Sandy
Updated Friday, October 26, 2012 - 9:03am
DelDOT says its crews are standing by, ready to do whatever it takes to keep Delaware's roads passable in the event that Sandy hits here.
The agency announced Thursday staffers are monitoring the latest reports from the National Weather Service and Delaware Emergency Management Agency, and Delawareans should assemble emergency supplies and be ready to evacuate their homes.
In the event Sandy does slam into Delaware next week, DelDOT says you can help its crews by staying off the roads during the storm.
