Delaware Military Academy hosted St. Marks High School Friday night at Bob People's Stadium. The Spartans scored six touchdowns to earn their seventh victory of the season with a 43-7 beating.
DMA struck first with a long grab by wide receiver Tyler Lewis for a 74 yard touchdown.
St. Marks answered quickly with a rushing touchdown by Spartan quarterback, Zachary Whitehead knotting the game at seven a piece.
The Spartans held on to their momentum for the rest of the game. After Michael Williams tackled a lonely Seahawk in the endzone to earn a safety, Taaron Brown capitalized soon after for a 1 yard rushing touchdown. The Spartans took a 29-7 lead to the half.
The Spartans never eased up, Edward Mendez scored one of his two rushing touchdowns with 8:33 left in the third.
Rhett Schweizer sealed the victory with a rushing touchdown of his own to close out scoring in the game.
Next Friday, St. Marks faces St. Elizabeth at home, while DMA (6-2) travels to Archmere Academy.
