County Police: Don't call 9-1-1 in non-emergencies
County Police are reminding you not to call 9-1-1 unless you're involved in an emergency in progress or an immediately life-threatening situation.
Police say for any other situation, you should call their non-emergency number, 573-2800.
Non-emergency police numbers in Kent and Sussex Counties are 739-4863 and 856-5680.
Any Hurricane Sandy-related questions can be directed to the County's non-emergency call center, 395-5555, the City of Wilmington's Emergency Operations Center at 571-CITY, or the Delaware Helpline, 1-800-464-HELP.
