City of Wilmington lifts Southeast evacuation order
The City of Wilmington has lifted its evacuation order for Wilmington's southeastern section, and says city offices will re-open Wednesday.
City Parks and Recreation workers were at William Penn High School till 5 PM Tuesday to take people who live in the evacuation zone back to their homes.
City police officers are in the evacuation zone to help residents move back in.
A state of emergency is still in effect for the city, so any necessary additional safety measures can be put into place.
If you're a Wilmington resident who needs to report an emergency, you can call 9-1-1--city residents with non-emergency issues can call the city's Emergency Operations Center at 576-2489 through 8 PM Tuesday.
