New Castle man dies after being struck by a car last month

A New Castle man has died from injuries he sustained after being struck by a car last month.

Police say 44-year-old Thomas Brinkley walked into oncoming traffic on North Dupont Highway in New Castle when he was struck by a cargo van driven by Lottie Schultz of Pittston, PA, on September 7th.

Brinkley was taken to Christiana Hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead Tuesday.

No word on whether Schultz will face charges.
