Amtrak restores some service to NE Corridor, not to NYC

Amtrak trains are running again up and down the busy Northeast Corridor, but not to New York City.

Amtrak is working on clearing an unprecedented amount of water from tunnels under the Hudson and East Rivers. They also need to make major repairs to tracks and power systems and hope to restore some service to and from the city Friday.

For now, trains are running from Newark, NJ to points south.

Keystone Service trains are also running between Harrisburg and Philadelphia.
