AAA: Sandy didn't change gas prices much here
Triple-A Mid-Atlantic says Sandy's impact on gas prices in our area was minimal, mostly because the region is a major gas consumer, rather than a producer.
The auto club Wednesday announced the storm did cut gas demand by about 1 to 2 billion barrels a day from the usual at this time of year.
Price-wise, Delaware's average as of Wednesday was 3.56 a gallon, down a penny since Tuesday.
The national average is 3.52, also down a penny since Tuesday.
Triple-A expects prices to continue to fall before Election Day, and says the downward trend will continue till the end of the year.
