Newark police have arrested a University of Delaware hockey player for allegedly robbing a fellow student early last Sunday morning.

Police say Kevin Rice's number 10 hockey sweatshirt went missing last year, and Rice was riding in a car along East Main Street when he saw the other student wearing the sweatshirt.

Rice got out of the car and tried to take the sweatshirt off the victim, a fight ensued and 2 friends who were with Rice broke it up.

Rice and his friends drove off, and the victim noticed his cell phone was missing.

Police were able to track the phone to Harmony Road and Route 273, stop Rice's car and arrest him.
