Tiara Malcom may coach one of the top players in the country, but she earned her own honor Friday night, joining the 2012 University of Delaware Athletics Hall of Fame.

The Caravel Academy alum played four seasons for Tina Martin's women's basketball team, netting the school's first two Colonial Athletic Association regular season titles, and 3 trips to the post-season WNIT. Delaware was 89-32 with Malcom on the roster.

Malcom was named the 2005 CAA Player of the Year after averaging a league-best 15.5 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds.

She finished her career with a CAA-record 535 made free throws, and held the school record for games played (121), double-figure scoring efforts (88), and was 4th in scoring at 1,545 points.

Malcom briefly played professionally overseas before rejoining the team in 2006-2007 as an assistant coach, a title she still holds today. Malcom helped oversee last year's 31-2 squad that was ranked 7th in the nation going into the NCAA tournament.
