Delaware true freshman Craig Brodsky has played in all 9 games of this, his first season at Delaware and started last Saturday against Towson at free safety.
One year ago, Brodsky was playing high school football at Fleming Island High School, near Jacksonville, Florida, where he was a two-time all-state selection.
Brodsky says he came to Delaware because of the way he connected with the coaching staff, and says it was pretty interesting in the early practices at Delaware, where he was impressed with the speed of the game at the collegiate level.
Most of Brodsky's playing time this year came on special teams, where he has 12 tackles, 9 of them solo.
Two weeks ago, at Old Dominion, Brodsky saw his first playing time on defense and last week against Towson, he was in the starting lineup.
Numerous injuries on the defense have forced the Delaware coaching staff to move a lot of people in and out of the lineup.
Brodsky says even though there will be no playoffs for the Blue Hens this year, he wants the team to step up the last two games so the seniors can go out on a high note.
