Thunderguard Motorcycle Club's drug ring taken down

Eight members of the Thunderguard Motorcycle Club are under arrest on various drug and weapons charges.

State Police say the three month investigation called "Operation Thunder Clap," took down the club's cocaine distribution network in New Castle County.

"We seized over two kilos of cocaine with a street value worth over $100,000; 167 grams of marijuana, over $41,000 in United States Currency, various weapons, including assault rifles," says State Police Sergeant Paul Shavack.

The suspects are: Ernest Saunders of New Castle; Arthur Blount of New Castle; Mark Singleton of Middletown; Armar Womack of Middletown; Marquita Charlton of Middletown; James Robertson of New Castle; Enrico and Bryan Verucci of Middletown.

Shavack couldn't comment on the suspects' criminal history, but says "They were targets of our investigation and were arrested during the search warrants. The investigation is still ongoing. We're looking at further arrests and indictments as it progresses."
