4 seriously hurt in Marsh Road crash near Arden

Four people are hospitalized following a serious crash at Marsh and Chestnut Roads near Arden.

It happened just after morning rush hour Wednesday. State police say Edilberto Hernandez of Wilmington crossed the double yellow line on Marsh Road and plowed into a car driven by Milan Thakar of Wilmington.

Hernandez suffered serious injuries and was medivacked to Christiana. Two passengers in his car, Marcos Ancelmo and Maribel Blanco, both of Wilmington suffered serious injuries too.

Thakar suffered severe lower extremity injuries and was taken to Christiana's Trauma Center by ambulance.

Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.

Hernandez was cited for driving on the wrong side of the roadway. He also had no license and no insurance.
