Padua Advances To High School Volleyball Finals

Jen Borio had 13 kills in Padua's 3-0 victory over Concord in the DIAA Girls' Volleyball tournament semifinals Thursday night.
The Pandas dominated the 1st and last set, and edged out the 2nd 25-22.
The size of the Pandas was an issue for Concord all night, as 5 blocks were recorded in the first set between senior Erica Engler and Borio. Engler ended her night with 5 blocks total for herself.
Borio had 4 blocks and 1 assist to go with her 13 kills. Junior Allyson Jennings recorded 8 kills and 4 digs as well.
In the loss, senior Paige Thommes had 8 kills in her last game as a Raider. Padua will play Ursuline at "The Bob" after their 5 set defeat over number 1 seeded St. Marks.
