Two dead in fiery crash in New Castle
Two people are dead after a Thursday afternoon crash in New Castle.
An SUV was involved in a minor crash on Christiana Road near Route 1 at just before 3 pm.
After leaving that scene, the SUV hit the rear end of a car stopped to make a left turn. The impact sent that car and a pick up in front of it into the intersection at Appleby Road.
The car burst into flames and two occupants who haven't been identified were pronounced dead at the scene. Three people in the pickup weren't hurt.
No charges have been filed as yet against the 67 year old driver of the SUV who is in Christiana Hospital in serious condition.
