Attempted purse snatching inside New Castle supermarket
Police are looking into an attempted purse snatching inside the Food Lion store in New Castle.
A 48 year old woman was pushing her cart in the store at just after 7 pm when she felt someone tugging on her arm and found a man trying to steal her purse.
A struggle followed, the victim fell to the ground but kept hold of her purse and the suspect took off.
He's black, 5'7", 20 to 25 years old, between 150 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.
The woman wasn't hurt.
