Two dead in fiery crash in New Castle

| The SUV involved in the crash at Route 273 and Appleby Rd. (photo-A. Sgroi) | A fiery crash in New Castle Thursday afternoon cost two people their lives.
An S-U-V ran into the rear of a car making a left-hand turn from Christiana Road onto Appleby.
The car burst into flames and two people inside were trapped and pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people inside a pick up truck also hit weren't hurt. The 67 year old driver of the S-U-V, John Quigley of Newark, is in Christiana Hospital in serious condition.
He hasn't been charged, and police are investigating whether Quigley suffered a medical problem that caused the crash.
