Gov. hails Return Day in weekly speech

| Governor Jack Markell (D) | In his weekly address, Governor Markell sang the praises of Return Day.
In the speech, broadcast on WDEL, the Democrat said Return Day, which dates to the 18th Century, when Sussex County residents had to congregate in Georgetown to hear election returns read, and candidates 'buried the hatchet" to show they've resolved their differences, shows Delaware's spirit of fellowship.

Markell said political differences do exist in Delaware, but they don't detract from residents' common goal of making the state a better place.
