Concord's senior running back, Grant Roberts, scored two rushing touchdowns in the first half Friday night to help the Raiders' pull out a 13-9 victory over Appoquinimink in a final Blue Hen Flight A showdown between two 5-4 teams.

The Jaguars got on the board first, when Malacchi Esdale converted a first-and-13 to put Andrew Jones in good field goal range. The Jaguars took a 3-0 lead going into the second quarter.

Roberts' set up one of his two touchdowns and capitalized with an 11-yard run up the middle with 8:38 left on the clock.

On the next play, Esdale finds his way back in the action, when he returns a long kick for a 92-yard touchdown to lift the Jaguars again 9-7.

With a little more than three minutes left in the half, Stanley Dollard grabbed a 20-yard reception from Raiders' quarterback Tyler Pini to set up Roberts' second touchdown of the game.

The second half was scoreless.

The Raiders' improved to 6-4, while the Jaguars' fell to 5-5 for the 2012 football season.
