Wilmington police say they've arrested a drug dealer after receiving tips from community members.

Police responded to the 200 block of N. Franklin Street around 11 a.m. this morning and saw 24-year-old Elijah Bey of Wilmington, whose appearance matched the description of a man that local residents believed was selling drugs.

Officers learned Bey already had existing warrants for his arrest and discovered he was in possession of 36 bags of heroin when they took him into custody.

Bey, who has previous felony drug convictions, faces a charge of possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional institution in lieu of $10,000 bail.
